GATE is conducted to get the admission in IITs, IISc etc. for various Post Graduate Programmes such as M.Tech/M.E MS and Direct Ph.D. GATE 2018 is an online test which is jointly managed by 7 IITs and IISc Bangalore on behalf of the National Coordinating Board, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD). This year IIT Guwahati is concluding GATE 2018 more than 680 centres in India and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (UAE). 100 Marks question paper will include 65 questions and the duration of GATE 2018 will be 3 hours. The notification of GATE 2018 was released by IIT Guwahati on July 5. As per official notification by Guwahati, the GATE application form 2018 is available from August 31, 2017,  one day prior to its official date. and the last date of application form is October 5, 2017. The admit card of GATE 2018 will be released on January 5, 2018 which will be available till the exam date. The result of GATE 2018 will be released on March 17, 2018 in an online mode.
